Los Angeles –
clients continue to move and groove, expanding their repertoires. We are excited to highlight some of their latest successes:
|
Rodney Mason, now known worldwide as the inimitable spokesman of the Tanqueray brand, Tony Sinclair, has been rounding out a busy calendar of personal appearances in that persona, including USA and FX. Scouted for his brash and British wit, he was cast in a lead role in an animated feature, in which he did voice over in company with Ian McShane, Dakota Fanning and Teri Hatcher. In addition, Rodney put his chameleon-like versatility to work on a pilot, “Laugh at LA,” with cast members of Mad TV. He is also starring as a hip hop, old school DJ in a short film for Equalaris. He was recently seen on stage, where he received rave reviews for an original show that he wrote, produced and starred in, “My Mother’s Son,” at Disney’s Red Cat. He has been invited back as an audience favorite for the Now and New Works Festivals. |

Mimi Karsh continues to be seen as Fanta’s “Pineapple Fantana” star in print, commercials, TV and live appearances, including on MTV, co-hosting TRL. She has also starred in a short film with Rainn Wilson (“The Office”) and Jordan Belfi, and was flown to NYC to shoot a pilot with Robert Wuhl for HBO. Mimi ballroom-danced up a storm with her partner (of “Dancing with the Stars”) in a Bank of America commercial, and is sidekick co-host with Wink Martindale on multiple commercials for Orbitz. |

Brian Lane Green, Tony Award Nominee, has worked with some of America's best musical theatre Broadway composers and directors, including Cy Coleman and Stephen Schwartz. Look for Brian's recently released album, with all his own original songs, "Waiting for the Glaciers to Melt." Brian is currently touring nationally with dame Liza Minnelli, as well as his “Three Men and a Baby Grand” review, which is popular both on land and sea. Returning regularly to his country roots, Brian moves between his three home-bases, in NYC, LA and Tennessee. |

Adam Bay recently co-starred on “Cane” for primetime and “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Disney Chanel. His starring role as a Middle Eastern “Romeo” in indie film, “Holy Land,” will be released soon to festival audiences. Adam is now up for a supporting role in an upcoming MTV musical film. In the meantime, his commercials for Target and Hugo Boss remain in circulation. Adam is also making MC and DJ appearances, with his unique brand of hip, street charm, rap and freestyle dance. |

Kelli Berglund, already a pro at age 11, has been a series regular on the Emmy-nominated TLC/Discovery TV show, “Hip Hop Harry.” With her high-pitched voice and amazing dance ability, she also has helped to entertain for several charitable causes at the Hollywood Bowl and House of Blues. Kelli has been screen tested recently for a major Disney feature and has been dubbed a “callback kid” for leads both in high concept comedy and dark film roles. Kelli, who can still play age seven convincingly, and has graduated to pointe shoes in ballet, is now in Junior High. |

Tarah Paige has had a great season with straight offer for the Pilot, “The Kitty Landers Show,” and a supporting lead in the feature, “Otis.” Tarah does stunts as well, so she got to use her amazing physical abilities in several dangerous scenes, as well as a promo for Wheel of Fortune, literally flipping out. Tarah is known for her role in the feature with Jeff Bridges, “Stick it,” Touchstone, where you can see her amazing (nationally ranked) gymnastic skills and talents. |

Tera Hendrickson is a major talent with an uncanny ability to incorporate many dialects and accents into her work. She speaks several languages, including Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish – in addition, of course, to her native tongue, English. Tera will also soon be seen in a variety of roles using her grandmother’s last name, Correa, to underscore her Latin lineage. She covers her blonde tresses in recurring guest star roles on “Hannah Montana,” and “Cory in the House.” In addition, she has guest starred on “Mind of Mencia.” Tera also has appeared this year with Faye Dunaway in a feature film for director Jeff Celentano (“Gunshy”). |

Heather Case Miller earned a fan in casting director, Mara Casey (Gilmore Girls casting director) who sent out an email blast recommending her to the current casting community, after being awed by her dramatic work in a workshop. Since then, Heather has upped the ante with several generals, meetings and readings for major projects. She booked a short film lead called “A Sister’s Worth,” as a young leukemia victim. Heather also had multiple bookings with Blur Studios, doing facial and body motion capture work for films, video games and commercials. Heather is a dedicated student of the Stuart Rogers studio, and coaching with Michael Silver. |

Kace Campbell continues about town with his hosting duties. Recent events included the Barry Manilow show in Las Vegas and interviewing all the creative people for the Happy Feet Premiere for Taubman Events. Kace is also a busy DJ and MC, in demand for celebrity appearances, entertaining crowds of thousands with his exuberant and wild style. He starred in “Ante Up” a short comedy, and stole the show with his unique slacker type character role. |

Tiffany & Brittany Johnson are identical twins, busy with many dance projects and print calls. This year they took the leap into acting, beginning studies and coaching for readings. Their first audition was for a Nickelodeon comedy, and they aced a producer callback. Their second reading was for a horror film, and the veteran casting agent was very impressed. So with much encouragement, they are grooming and growing. |

Malcolm McRae, 13, has gotten a taste of Hollywood in a feast of bites. After being scouted in the talent show and talent competitions at AMTC (Millie Lewis) Orlando—Malcolm came out to try the scene in Hollywood. Immediately he was going out, getting callbacks, and booked a short film called “Brotherly” in a starring role. He also got in front of directors at two producer pilot sessions and on tape for a feature film. This week Malcolm aced closer to a pilot test deal—great news for this fine young actor, who has earned enthusiastic praise from casting director, John McCarthy: “a natural actor, with a sophisticated, different take... a star kid!” |

Nikki Blackwell booked several dance projects, right out of the gate. Turning 18 was like winning the lottery, with bookings for a show run at Universal Studios, under the direction of Dan Mojica, and a TV pilot, as series regular, called “I Can! Fairytales.” In this role, she is the ballerina fairy, imparting wisdom to pre-schoolers through dance and music. With her strong physique and natural looks, Nikki is also booking print and commercial work in the health and fitness arena. Nikki is dedicated to growing as an actress and has been training with Eric Stuart. |

Nyoka Boswell, also an AMTC winner from Alabama, won overall adult categories and blew away many members of the casting community judging. Her stellar comical instincts, coupled with her strong theatre training have opened up doors in L.A. Nyoka read for leads in films right away, and is currently practicing her skills with a comedy improv group. She is a “Raven-meets-Whoopi” comic type, robust and rowdy, and very serious about her craft. We know a catapulting role is around the corner for this authentic talent. |

Matthew Shaffer is in rehearsals with director, Zina Bethune for Frost and Fire, a multi-media event to open mid- November at the Alex Theatre. He plays the starring role of Sim, along with a stellar Equity cast, and Michael York. Matthew earned this role for his “triple threat” abilities, and his ability to meld broad stage style with a subtle filmic approach. Matthew has been choreographing an independent film, shooting webisodes with members of Stand Up Salad, an improv sketch group, and continues to book dance work, including an appearance on “Cold Case.” |
We have signed two new clients—Brandon Larcom and Michelle Guo.
|
Brandon Larcom is an ice skating champion, with national titles in pair and solo skating. He currently coaches “million dollar” hockey players, and recently doubled a star in “The Comebacks” on the ice. His acting career is burgeoning. He recently starred in a sensitive short film about runaways. Brandon has an amazing smile and magnetic good looks, which will catapult his print and commercial booking opportunities. He is also skilled at motocross racing, mountain biking and rollerblading, and these skills have given him further opportunities to play athletic roles. |

Michelle Guo will be moving to LA with her family from North Carolina. Another young talent scouted at AMTC, Michelle won in several divisions, including modeling, monologue and commercial. She speaks fluent Chinese and Japanese, and has terrific comic instincts and timing. Petite, but mighty, this girl will make her mark. |
